Specific Prayers
“Then in our youth our children will be like lush plants, and our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace” (Psalm 144: 12)
PRAYER: Lord, that our young people (young males from all over Brazil) may be like lush plants – full of vigour, brave and free from pests! May they be free from prostitution, from addictions, from crime, and from anything that may destroy their lives prematurely. May our youth be like pillars, a blessing in their homes; prepared by you to be ornaments, adorning their families and society. “so that our barns can be full, providing all kinds of food; so that our flocks can be in the thousands—even tens of thousands—in our fields;”(Ps 144.13)
“In the name of Jesus, we ask and already give thanks for the complete change in our country. For it is written, Happy are the people thus blessed! Happy are the people whose God is the Lord. Father, make our nation prosper!” (Psalm 144.13)
PRAYER: Lord, that our barns be full of various provisions. Let there be new business in the country. May our people no longer feel they lack what they truly need. Expand development in Brazil, making this reach the whole country. Let there be advances in technology, medicine, education, industry and the countryside. That roads may be built, from north to south; mansions instead of shantytowns; abundance instead of scarcity, cars for families, comfort in homes, health for the people!” so that our cattle can be loaded with calves; so that there won’t be any breach in the walls, no exile, no outcries in our streets!”(Ps 144.14)
“That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.” (Psalm 144.14)
PRAYER: Lord, let there be no more in Brazil – that abortion, injury, theft, epidemics and corruption be banned in the name of Jesus! May our rulers serve the people and not their own interests. That the taxes we pay are fair and just, and that the Brazilian people may no longer have reasons to moan! Let the citizen feel pleasure in paying his taxes and enjoy seeing the results in the use of this money, without oppression. Let no one be led to with hold taxes because of absurd levies! Lord, make the cry of affliction cease; let there be no more robberies, organized crime and kidnappings. Let crime decrease until it reaches zero tolerance. Let it be possible to walk in the streets in peace and security, without distress, without fear. May peace dominate our cities. “The people who have it like this are truly happy! The people whose God is the Lord are truly happy!”(Psalm 144:15)
“Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.” (Psalm 144.15)
PRAYER:In the name of Jesus, we ask and already give thanks for the complete change in our country. For it is written, Happy are the people thus blessed! Happy are the people whose God is the Lord. Father, make our nation prosper!
